The top 10 universities for this course: 1. University of Cambridge |
The best things about Psychology:
"The university is compact, the staff treat you as an indivual and with the Ba being a smaller programme than the BSC 1- 1 contact is very easy."
Ben, at York St John University - Read more
"There are many aspects of the course that I enjoy and like, in particular, I like the fact what we have a 'Psychology Block' that is just for Psychology Students. Within this block, there are Psychology books that can be borrowed, and many other sources of Psychology information. Access to the information I needed for my research outside of lectures was very very easy and this is what I like best about my degree programme."
Sophie, at University of Leicester - Read more
"I like that I don't just focus on Psychology.
I enjoy looking at other things too."
Kitty, at University of Glasgow - Read more
"I like the organisation the best, the lectures are very easy to follow and the labs or tutorials after the lectures are always a follow up of the previous lecture so you can go in to some more depth about something you may have quickly covered in the lecture."
Lauren, at The University of Essex - Read more
"The course covers a wide range of areas of Psychology."
Amy, at Bangor University - Read more
"The option to do a placement year and group work and seminars."
Jess, at Aston University Birmingham - Read more
The worst things about Psychology:
"Statistic modules, as computer programmes can become confusing."
Jess, at Aston University Birmingham - Read more
"The statistics modules are difficult to understand."
Amy, at Bangor University - Read more
"The amount of biology involved but that is just a personal thought since I don't like biology and find a lot of the learning of how each sense works a bit unnecessary for psychology."
Lauren, at The University of Essex - Read more
"I don't like that, due to the fact I'm doing three courses, I often have three deadline dates very close to each other, for completely different things."
Kitty, at University of Glasgow - Read more
"I least enjoy the lack of opportunities to study abroad or do a international exchange. Although there are connections with other universities in the country, there is no way to study abroad during the course of the Psychology lectures."
Sophie, at University of Leicester - Read more
"Being small and also having all lectures on similar days does make working alongside the degree easier but for some YSJ could seem to lack the buzz of bigger universities. There's also the endless reams of journals to print of copy, so PC storage and a decent printer are A MUST as the uni is not the cheapest nor most reliable for these facilities. Memory sticks mean that uni pc's (which are fairly fast and up to date) can be used on the go, but having your own PC or laptop is going to make life alot easier."
