The best things about Law and Criminology:
"I enjoy the university as a whole, its a very friendly atmosphere to live and work in. The lectures are kept quite interesting and the lecturers are friendly and encourage us to ask questions. "

"I like researching independently as there is a greater sense of achievement when you have completed a task. I also like the lectures as if differs tremendously from sitting in a classroom in upper school at college. I enjoy taking notes in a way that suits me rather than being prescribed a way to take notes by a teacher. "

"plenty of time to sleep in between lectures. limited coursework, maximum 3 assessed essays a semester.
also, the variety of having a criminology module, doing straight law probably would have killed me. i find criminology easier to understand (although not necessarily easier to get good marks in) so its a break from all the hardcore boring law modules."

The worst things about Law and Criminology:
"unlike other courses, most of your marks are gained in exams, some modules are a hundred percent on one exam which is scary and very stressful at the time.
some of the compulsory modules are insanely dull... for example E.C law is an absolute killer."

"I dislike the length of the the seminars - they are too short. If I have a problem then it is difficult to resolve it within the one hour time slot - due to the large amount of material we have to cover. "

"The extra reading! I can always seem to find something else I'd prefer to read than a law text book!"
