Unifo proudly sponsored Ride for Heroes 2009 and after much training, and then the challenge itself, Freddie, Ben, Martin, and their faithful bikes completed their quest last month.

Introduction
“We are three first year students studying at the University of Bristol. During the second and third weeks of August we are cycling from Bristol to Strasbourg via Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany. Our six country tour will take us approximately 11 days and we will cover around 700 miles. We’ll be raising money for Help for Heroes, a charity close to our hearts.

Freddie is the travelling mechanic (attempting to read engineering) who will be on his first tour, as will be Ben who will be in charge of lighting fires (occasionally reading chemistry). Martin is the old hand having racked up a colossal total of one previous tour, he is reading biochemistry.

At the time of writing (28th May) none of us have our bikes or equipment, Ben is the closest with a tacky carbon fibre (ebay) seat post and Martin claims to own a tent.

In the mean time training has begun as we attempt to undo all of our hard work this year in the bar!”
