The course in general
How many contact hours do you have in the average week?
30
Ideally, what 3/4 subjects would you recommend doing in order to be in the best position for your course?
Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Maths.
Why did you decide to study your degree programme?
I am interested in chemistry and wanted a career with social contact. Therefore instead of just doing chemistry I thought pharmacy would be a good idea.
Explain the things you wish you'd known about your degree before you applied:
That it would be so intense. I didnt realise you needed to know maths a lot, so I wish I had done as maths.
Describing your average day
Explain how your day is made up. For example, do you have labs/seminars/tutorials/lectures?
I have a combinations of labs and lectures. Usually lectures until 12 then labs after lunch until 5.
How much extra work/reading are you required to do out of lectures?
Yes, I do a lot of background reading, the library at Manchester is fantastic.
The best and worst parts of the course
What do you like best about your degree programme?
I like the labs the best, they are very interesting and I love learning hands on.
What do you like least about your degree programme?
Probably the amount of hours I do compared to other courses
Academics and course content
What do you think of your university's academics and facilities?
They are excellent
Explain how you expected your course to be and how it compares to how it actually is. Give an outline of the content of the course.
Lectures cover bare basics but the foundations to do more work.
Also tutorials for a chance to practice how to do things with a member of staff present.

Better than expected. Went to a lot of student night clubs, however, not organised by uni!

Location. Not too far from home; I pay so much in travelling home.
