Oxford University in one paragraph...
"The academic side of university is very hard and takes up a lot of your time, but we are also very busy with sport and social things when we aren't working. This makes the terms very intense as you are constantly busy doing something for the whole 8 weeks. It is very easy to get involved in sports and societies, so as long as you keep on top of the work, it's a fantastic place to be." says Bert - read the whole review here.

The best and worst things about Oxford University:
"Best - the standard of teaching and the collegiate system."
Hugh, doing Modern Languages - Read more
"Best things: College system, vast array of extracurriculars, wide range of people (very international)
Worst: expectations can be very high, which can be good but at times you will feel out of your depth. Time management very important although it is perfectly possible to have a 'life' as well as your degree."
Beth, doing Physiology - Read more
"Best - the atmosphere. It's incredibly fast paced and there are a lot of interesting things going on, with a lot of interesting people around. Worst - the pace. It is at once both the best and the worst thing about Oxford. It does take some getting used to and at times you do feel like a weekend off/away. Most people however get used to it. "
Kimberley, doing English - Read more
"Best - the reputation is deserved, teaching and facilities of the highest quality, the opportunity to study with some of the brightest minds of our generation in an idyllic setting.
"
Jamie, doing English - Read more
"Best thing is being with such interesting people who love to study as much as me. The worst thing is the lack of time. "
Sophie, doing History - Read more
"The best thing is how highly regarded the degree from Oxford university is.
The worst thing is how much work you are expected to do and how hard you have to work for minimal praise or recognition whilst at the university."
Tracy, doing Biological Sciences - Read more
"College system has it's strength and weaknesses. Out of hours, the sporting aspect is fantastic and there is a wealth of things to do. However, the bureaucracy that goes on because of it (being a member of the uni/college/department) makes doing things sometimes more difficult than they actually are."
Gordon, doing Engineering - Read more
"Research and library facilities. Tutorial system is unrivalled. Scope for rigorous academic work at even an undergraduate level. Also reputation opens many doors both at an academic and career level. Overal, it's just a very enjoyable but challenging place."
