Aston University Birmingham in one paragraph...
"Aston is a small but dynamic university, offering facilities all on one campus, right on the doorstep of the city of Birmingham. There is a real buzz and spirit to the place, and everyone can call it home. The small size does not hold it back, and it is always highly placed in league tables." says Laura - read the whole review here.

The best and worst things about Aston University Birmingham:
"Best thing is how friendly the close knit university is. It's like big sixth form college and everyone is always looking out for others.
The worst thing is the slight racial segregation as there is one tower that has a significantly higher amount of people of Asian origin, compared to the other two. It might be a coincidence but it is noticeable.I would prefer it if it was more mixed."

"Friendly people, staff and very good facilities.
The only bad thing is the limited range of courses available in my department. Most people find that the course isn't for them and they either don't have the right number of UCAS points to change to their desired course, or simply are only offered a course which they don't want to go on to."

"Best - It is a campus and everyone knows each other and there is a very friendly atmosphere.
Worst - Can be completely disorganised, and its small size sometimes eliminates it from the opportunities at the larger universities."

"The university is very friendly and not huge so you always see people you know. Plus it is in the centre of Birmingham so perfect for shopping, eating and clubbing."

"I would say the best thing about my university is without a doubt the location. It is a very compact university that has all the benefits of a campus university but is sandwiched right in the heart of birmingham, no more than 5 minutes walk from anywhere!"

"Best thing about Aston is the atmosphere. Everybody is friendly and helpful. We have a great students guild where there is a pub and every two weeks there are events where people can dress up in fancy dress. There are 2 pubs within walking distance too. The University is so close to the city centre so it is convenient to do shopping. The worst thing would have to be the accommodation, however new accommodation is being built and although the rooms were horrible I met a lot of new friends."

"The worst thing is that it is small and there is no football field on campus. The best thing is that it is in the middle of the big city of Birmingham. "
Graham, doing Business, Public Policies and Management - Read more
"I absolutely love my university. I love that there is such a sense of community within the university which you don't find with many others due to the small size and all the facilities such as the Students' Guild endeavour to bring everyone together!
I can't think of anything I dislike at all about the university."
