The best and worst things about University of Bristol:
"Best - the city. Worst - ?? Not sure."
Bobby, doing Civil Engineering - Read more
"The work-play ratio is ideal. There is a fantastic social life regardless of how intense your course. However, Bristol University's dire financial situation becomes apparent rather quickly with Halls of Residence being in some cases sub-standard. The Halls of Residence however have a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere."
Serge, doing Modern Languages - Read more
"The worst thing is the cost involved, Bristol is an expensive city, it's the second most expensive place to live outside of London. As a result, halls in the first year are expensive, and so are student houses after the first year. "
Ben, doing Chemistry - Read more
"Best - diversity of the people. Worst - sometimes there's a bit of a lack in departmental 'spirit'"
Henny, doing Mathematics - Read more
"Setting and facilities are the best thing. Bristol is just a lovely city and the campus is fantastic. The facilities available along with the fine selection of clubs gives the student everything he or she needs."
Yale, doing Chemistry - Read more
"The best thing is the location - it is within a city that caters for all students as well as the locals, easy to reach and pleasant to be in. The worst thing would probably be the fact that quite often I turned up for lectures to find out that they had been moved, and unless you happened to know your way around every university building, it was hard to find them again."
Janey, doing Sociology - Read more
"Best thing is the city, worst thing is the union."
Finlay, doing Mathematics - Read more
"Best - sociable, fun, good education and good reputation.
Worst- large economics tutorial sizes."
