University of Cambridge in one paragraph...
"Fantastic education - unparalleled depth that any future employer will ALWAYS recognise and appreciate. Cambridge might have a "nerdy reputation", but there are definitely some very fun times to be had... and while there may be a lot of hard workers, there are still qutie a few people who aren't so uptight and are geniunely up for a good laugh." says Chris - read the whole review here.

The best and worst things about University of Cambridge:
"Best thing: It's Cambridge - a world renowned institution
Worst thing: The preconceptions most people have of it being "nerdy""

"Best - the people; Worst - terms are short and intense. They would be better if they were longer. "

"The beautiful location and excellent reputation are great - it is a unique student experience. You really feel privileged to be there. If you love your subject there is no better place to be because the facilities are outstanding.
Bad sides - there is a lot of pressure and competition amongst students. Some of the students are very posh and maybe are not as broad minded as in other, more metropolitan universities.
Generally though, the positives far outweigh any negatives."

"Best: collegiate system. Instead of all being in one university campus, there are about 30 (I think) college campuses, each with their own accommodation, dining hall, bar etc. Supervisions are taught within your college, and all first years within each college are housed together, so it's really easy to make friends with people both from your subject and from other subjects.
Worst: the stereotype of Cambridge students as really posh and stuck-up. True, there are some people like that, but there's also a lot of down-to-earth "normal" people."

"We pay by term, and it's £1050 per term for my room (which you get for about 10 weeks per term). You also pay a fixed charge for the canteen kitchens, which covers their overheads so that you can get good food for cost price (steak and chips for £2.50 etc). The fixed charge is about £160 per term. Food in the Buttery is about £3 for a standard meal (meat, carbs and veg), maybe £2 for a cooked breakfast."
