The best and worst things about Royal Veterinary College, University of London:
"The worst and best thing about the university are one and the same. The problem with the RVC is that as a separate college within the University of Central London, it doesn't mingle with other students on different courses. It is a very isolated population, with the majority of people living with vet students. Living, and learning with the same set of people can be very boring, isolating, and makes it very difficult to meet new people. However, it also means that you are never alone. If you are stressing about revision, it is likely thats someone in your flat is also stressing out, as all exams are at the same time. This means that you are not living with someone who finished their exams weeks ahead of you, and starts making noise and preventing your own revision. Also, if you are stuck on a certain aspect of a lecture, there is always someone around nearby who you can ask to help explain it. Not only that, but first years and second years, what with being on the same campus, tend to mix as well - espcially the second years that live in RVC halls, which means first years can get help and advice from the upper years."

"The best thing is the high standard of teaching and facilities - I really think it is the best in Europe. The worst thing is that it's a very small university (about 1500 students) which means gossip travels and socially it can be quiet."

"We have great facilities and staff are great people to meet. It is really good place to study. However it is expensive to live in London."

"Best is that the degree is world widely accepted so I can practice anywhere when I qualify.
The worst thing is the cost."
