The University of York in one paragraph...
"The University of York is a lovely place to study, set in a beautiful city. The university itself has great facilities and offers a vast number of activities and societies to suit the needs of all its students. The social scene/nightlife is fun and lively and there is always something to do or something new to try." says India - read the whole review here.

The best and worst things about The University of York:

"The best thing about the University of York is that it is a brilliant place to study, as York is a beautiful city and there is a great atmosphere in the university itself. The worst thing about York is that it has a limited nightlife with only 5 clubs, however Leeds is only a short train journey away if you were to get bored, and it can in fact be a blessing in disguise at times as you aren't tempted to go out every night when you should be studying."

"Best thing: Living on campus with other Freshers! Always parties going on and the campus is only ten mins walk to town so easy access there. The rowing club, of course, greatest socials ever. Worst thing: Night life in town is limited if you are used to huge cities. However York is 20 mins from Leeds and an hour to Newcastle by train so if you need a big city thrill its not far. "

Accommodation costs for The University of York
arrow "About £60-100 depending on the standard of rooms. They say the cheaper the quality of accomodation the better the banter but this is not always the case. I lived in some of the most expensive accomodation and we were one of the most rowdy blocks on campus, having had several warnings by the porters and even the head of college to keep the noise down during one block party!!"
